The image used for this puzzle was a scanned photo emailed to me.  The resolution was pretty good but the scan had some dust on it which showed up in the black background area.  I was concerned the specks would show up on the high res photo so they were edited out and some smoothing was added while the resolution increased before sending out for printing.  Enlarge second image to compare the image sent to 1 hour photo service.

The framing of the original image was great and a 5" x 7" puzzle was prepared.
The photo is mounted and the puzzle is ready to start cutting.  The puzzle is intended for an adult puzzle lover so the piece size will be somewhat smaller to produce about 50 pieces in the 35 sq in area. The first cuts define some color line boundaries for the quadrants.

OK.  Halfway done.  Everything is coming along nicely.  Time to change blades for a new sharp one.

Puzzle complete. 52 pieces. Delicate cutting guided around the faces and a little color line cutting with the red sweater to add a little challenge on a small 5" x 7" puzzle.

12/06 Let's put the two back together again to see how things look.

A few edge pieces are pulled out to show some trickery.
Zoom in to see if you would put those three pieces aside to frame the border when solving the puzzle.

12/06 Ready to ship out in time for Christmas .
