The image used for the Photo Greeting Card was used as a digital file and sent out for an enlargement.

The framing of the original image worked out best for a puzzle sized 8"x8.5" puzzle.
The photo is mounted and the puzzle is ready to start cutting.

The first cuts define a few quadrants to get around a little easier on the saw table.
The basic piece size is therefore planned at this point. With roughly 68 sq in. to work and the distance between tabs between 3/4" and and 1", it will make nice sized puzzle pieces to handle. Smaller pieces are good for experts but the kids would have a hard time working with the pieces.

Puzzle complete. 82 pieces. Delicate cutting guided around the faces and a little color line cutting to add a little challenge on a small puzzle. What a surprize for the family to receive back!
