12/06

This beautiful 12x12 image came from a calendar featuring bald eagles in a variety of standing and flying views.
A protective glaze was applied to the surface to protect the image for a long life of puzzle solving.

Coming along nicely.   I like to assemble the puzzle as I cut so I can see the intersecting joints positions of the completed pieces and avoid too many corners coming together at one spot.

Color line cutting between the feathers and sky will add a little more challenge.

The number of pieces predominantly blue, white, or gray is a good balance.
Some images that dominate in one color may be a bit tiresome to assemble.  Occasionally images need a little framing or cropping to bring a color balance for a fun puzzle.

12/06 Since there are a good number of solid blue pieces, a few narrow edges on some border pieces will make them harder to find during the initial stages of assembly.
12/06

Puzzle complete. 127 pieces. These are easy to handle pieces with an average size of approximately 1.1 sq in. per piece.   Other recent eagle puzzles from the same stock were cut with smaller pieces for a more challenging solution.

12/06 Back side. Lots of fun puzzle cuts.
